A rental property scam has been revealed to be targeting one part of Merseyside.
The scam was shared across social media as one woman tried to share information so it didn't happen to anyone.
It involves posting properties up for rent with fees "at too good to be true prices". When you enquire about the bills, the person claiming to be the owner of the property then says they live abroad and originally bought the property for their daughter.

They then ask you to pay a form of deposit.
The woman did research after her friend noticed something wasn't right and found the exact same emails sent to her posted on online forums.
In the emails, it also asks for you to not show up at the property.
The woman posted on Facebook the scam had popped up in Melling and Aintree. In a post, she wrote: "Just thought I’d pop this post up just to make everyone aware. There are currently properties in the Aintree and Melling area up for rent at too good to be true prices!!
"These properties are stating that all bills are included in the rental price. The ‘owner’ of the property will ask to speak via email and will then send emails stating that they live abroad and bought the property for their daughter to live at whilst studying and try to get you to pay a form of deposit via ‘AirB&B’ website!
"Thankfully my friend saw all the red flags straight away! I have done some research into this and seen the exact emails sent to my friend all over scamming forums online.
"They also ask in the emails several times for you to not turn up at the property.
"Tomorrow I will be attending these properties to make the people living there aware of their property being all over the internet listed for rent and part of a massive scamming programme. So sad that so many people will fall for this."
