Warning to West Lothian drivers as fortnight of roadworks set to cause delays

Drivers are being warned of a fortnight of disruptions in a West Lothian town from later this month.

Road users travelling through Armadale are advised of upcoming works by Scottish Water that may result in increased journey times.

Scottish Water will be undertaking essential works to replace lead pipework outside numbers 40 to 44 West Main Street from September 27 to October 11.

Due to proximity of the cross, traffic will be controlled by four-way temporary traffic lights and it's expected to affect local buses.

During this period the permanent lights at the cross will be switched off with the temporary system taking precedent.

Locals are advised to keep an eye on Lothian Buses and other local bus providers' websites for updates re services.
