Tesco is introducing a number of changes to its loyalty scheme from today, May 31.
The supermarket giant has assured customers that while the changes will impact Clubcard vouchers, they could actually end up benefiting from them.
Today, the store is tweaking the rules about spending vouchers for its 19 million Clubcard users across the UK.
Any coupon that expires today (May 31) will be extended by six months.
This is so shoppers who have not been able to spend them due to the pandemic can make use of them until November.
However, it is important to note that the extension only applies to vouchers originally due to expire this month.
A number of vouchers were also extended from November 2020 to May 2021 for the same reasons, however, these will not be extended further.
A Tesco spokesperson said: "We know that you may not have been able to use your Clubcard vouchers as you planned recently.
"So, as a little help from Clubcard, you’ve got extra time to spend your vouchers which were due to expire on May 31, 2021.

"Any vouchers issued in May 2019 won’t expire until November 30, 2021, giving you an extra six months to use them.
"We'll update the expiry date on your digital vouchers, and we'll continue to accept paper vouchers in-store until the extended expiry date."
They added: "Whether you’re planning to save on our BBQ range or treating yourself to something special, we hope this helps."
