Warning to 'not eat' Birds Eye recall chicken nuggets which may contain plastic

Birds Eye are recalling chicken nuggets over fears they contain pieces of plastic.

The company have said packets of Birds Eye 50 Chicken Nuggets with Golden Wholegrain 790g should not be eaten and taken straight back to the shop for a full refund.

Birds Eye said: "Potential presence of small pieces of clear plastic in the product which makes the product unsafe to eat.

"A small number of packs produced over a short time period may contain small pieces of clear plastic."

Check the codes on the back of your chicken nuggets (Birds Eye)

Only certain batch codes are affected - this can be found on the back of the bag.

Birds Eye added: "No other batch codes or other Birds Eye products are affected. Birds Eye apologises for the inconvenience to all our consumers."
