Motorists have been warned about the 'treacherous' conditions on Nottinghamshire roads after a number of crashes in the space of a few hours.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service says it has "attended lots of RTCs already" on the morning of Monday, February 8.
The incidents come as an amber weather warning was issued by the Met Office, with the county blanketed in snow overnight.
Heavy snow is set to continue until midnight.
Matt Reavill, group manager for the fire service, says crashes are "a plenty" due to the snow.
The weather conditions have already led to three incidents as reported by the emergency services.
These included a spate of incidents where cars crashed into ditches on three separate occasions, including one in Farnsfield, an incident in the village of Kirton and another on the A57 in Darlton where two vehicles ended up in a hedge.

He said: "RTCs a plenty across north Notts.
"Please take my word for it - driving conditions on side roads are treacherous. Covid lockdown and snow/ice equals stay at home."
Motorists have been warned to only travel in their cars if essential, with emergency resources being used on many occasions throughout the morning.
Temperatures are also set to drop below freezing into the afternoon and evening of February 8, meaning icy conditions are even more likely.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service added: "We have attended lots of RTCs already this morning.
"If driving is essential for you today please ensure you are doing it safely. The roads are very icy and you can easily end up like this one."
