Warning to dog owners as razor blades found near Mugdock Country Park

A concerned Glaswegian is warning residents to beware of razor blades found on a popular dog walking route.

The large silver blades were found in Drumclog Moor, near to Mugdock Country Park, earlier today.

The local cleared as many as he could find but made a plea to warn everyone who walks in the area to watch out.

Dogs and other pets could be seriously harmed if stood on, or eaten unknowingly.

A picture of the blades was also posted on the Milngavie and Bearsden Community page to warn residents.

Many people commented saying they were 'disgusted' by the behaviour of some individuals.

One said: "Omg who the heck would do such a thing sick scum bags, honestly."

Meanwhile another said: "How awful, who would do such a thing?"

This latest warning is another in a long list of dog poisonings happening in Glasgow recently.

On Saturday we reported anti-freeze was found in Knightswood golf club after a dog took ill.
