Warning to Ashton Court visitors as area cordoned off

Visitors to a Bristol beauty spot have been urged 'to be careful' after a wasp nest was discovered in a car park.

A cordon has been set up around the insect's home in Ashton Court until experts can remove it.

Warm weather at the start of this year has accelerated the growth of the creepy-crawly population - which means the pesky bugs have been out in abundance.

A spokesperson for Ashton Court tweeted: "PLEASE BE CAREFUL: A wasp nest has been found in the vicinity of our Mansion Car Park. It has been cordoned off and a pest control team will be removing it this week."

What should you do if you find a wasp nest?

The best way to remove a wasp nest is contacting a pest control professional.

It may seem like an easy job, but a pest control technician is professionally trained to handle and remove wasp nests in a safe and efficient manner.
