Police are warning drug users about a dangerous batch of diazepam tablets after a user needed hospital treatment after taking one.
The drugs are circulating in Carmarthenshire and can cause a wide array of side effects on anyone who takes them.
Police have said that the batch is “particularly harmful” and “very strong”.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The effects of this very strong illicit diazepam include slurred speech, falling, and long periods of memory loss and therefore could be dangerous to anyone taking it.
"We would appeal to drug users to seek medical attention immediately should they become unwell.
"Please share this information with anyone that you believe could come into contact with these drugs.”

According to the NHS diazepam belongs to a group of medicines called benzodiazepines. It is used to treat anxiety, muscle spasms, and seizures. It can also be used to reduce alcohol withdrawal symptoms and is only meant to be available on a prescription basis.
Police added that anyone who needs advice and support about drug use should visit Barod – a substance misuse service for adults in west Wales.
However, in an emergency, police asked people to always dial 999.
