A warning has been issued to residents in south Dublin about suspected bogus tradesmen offering to clean gutters and fell trees.
A number of local reports have been made in the Shankill area in recent days as Storm Lorenzo barrels toward the west coast of Ireland and heads for Dublin.
The calls to homes in the area have been made by different people in multiple vans that are offering the services.
Calls have now been made to keep an eye on family, friends and neighbours who may be vulnerable.
The post on a local community forum said: "According to local reports there have been a number of seemingly bogus tradesman calling to homes in the area over the past few days.
"There have been descriptions of different vans with people offering different types of services, such as tree felling and gutter clearance.
"Please be vigilant and keep an eye on friends,family & neighbours who may be vulnerable."
