Warning issued to Ayrshire parents after white van approaches primary school kid

A warning has been issued to Ayrshire parents after a child was approached by a person in a white van.

The incident, which is said to have taken place outside New Cumnock Primary, prompted a school to issue a warning.

The incident, which took place on Thursday, February 6, has been reported to police.

Netherthird Primary School told parents to have a "stranger danger" chat with their kids following the incident

The school warned parents of the incident last week.

They tweeted: "It has been brought to my attention that a white van approached a pupil at a local school this afternoon.

"The information has been passed onto the police.

"Please be vigilant and have a stranger danger chat with your child. Thank you, Miss Donnelly."

Police confirmed that concerns about a white van approaching a pupil at New Cumnock Primary were reported on February 6 at 4pm.
