Shoppers planning to head to Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Lidl and Morrisons over Easter weekend have been issued a warning.
People have been reminded to plan their trips ahead where possible, and to check whether their store will be open over the Bank Holiday.
Lidl, Aldi and Morrisons are all poised to close all stores on Easter Sunday.
Waitrose has issued the same update to its customers ahead of the four day weekend.
But Tesco stores, including Express and Metro stores, will stay open, and Sainsbury's has confirmed Sainsbury's Local branches will stay operating too.
Asda is also set to open some of its smaller stores to welcome customers on Easter Sunday, but larger outlets will remain closed, according to Birmingham Live.
A spokesperson for Aldi confirmed: "Don’t forget, over the Easter bank holiday a number of stores have different start and close times. Store opening times may vary by location, so please double check signage at your local store.
"Also, please note that our stores will be open half an hour early for vulnerable and elderly customers, Monday - Saturday."
A spokesperson for Morrisons confirmed the chain will be closing all of its stores in England and Wales.
A spokesperson for Lidl confirmed: "Selected stores do vary - for the most accurate opening and closing times for your local store please check our store finder ."
Tesco Extras, Superstores and Metro stores will be closed in England, Wales and Northern Ireland on Easter Sunday, Britain's biggest grocer has moved to confirm.
Easter Sunday falls on April 4 in 2021, with Easter Monday the following day.
For most Brits, it will be a four day weekend, with Good Friday on April 2.
