Dublin Fire Brigade has issued a warning to parents after a child's electric scooter caught fire while charging.

Firefighters rushed to the west Dublin home to put out the flames on Saturday morning.

The family were evacuated from their house and thankfully no one was injured.

The Emergency Services urged people to check the scooters “for a genuine CE safety mark and never leave them unattended while charging".
