Warning for Dublin residents as burglar bandits at large after home cash raids

Tens of thousands of north Dublin residents are being warned to lock up and keep an eye out as burglar bandits are on the loose in the area.

A Garda manhunt has been launched to find thugs who broke into and stole from a house in Malahide with officers fearing they may be picking out their next easy target while on the run.

The brazen hoodlums raided a home in the Gaybrook Lawn area last week stealing a large sum of cash from before fleeing the scene.

Gardai are asking anyone who has spotted any suspicious activity from November 4 onwards to come forward as it may help crack the criminals' whereabouts.

A Garda spokeswoman said: "We are investigating a burglary which occurred in the Gaybrook Lawn area, Malahide on 4 November.

"It’s believed a sum of cash was taken from the property. No arrests have been made."

She added: "No further information is available and investigations are ongoing."
