Warning for dog owners over sausages laced with fish hooks in Knightswood

Dog owners have been warned to keep vigilant after a man has been spotted leaving sausages with fish hooks in a street in Knightswood.

The sausages, bound in wire with fish hooks sticking out of them, were discovered in Cowdenhill Road on Tuesday morning.

Local Dawn McIntosh shared photos on Twitter and said her son spotted a man "throwing something on the ground and hurrying away."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.

Dog biscuits laced with pins have previously been found in Anderston, with the latest incident reported in June.

If anyone has any information on these incident or sees anything suspicious, report it immediately to Police Scotland on 101 or the charity's confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999
