Warning as woman lost cash after her bank card was cloned at ATM in South Queensferry

A woman lost cash after her card was cloned while using an ATM in South Queensferry .

Police confirmed that they are investigating the matter after it was reported to them over the weekend. The cash machine in question is located at the Scotmid store on The Loan.

The person affected took to social media on Saturday to warn people not to use the machine after her card was cloned, and money was stolen, on Friday afternoon.

Upon realising on Saturday morning she reported the matter to police, and they say that they are currently carrying out further inquiries in relation to the incident .

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Edinburgh received notification that a member of the public's debit card was cloned while using an ATM in South Queensferry on Friday 22nd March.

"Inquiries into this matter are ongoing."
