Traffic lights have stopped working on a number of major Liverpool roads.
Due to the icy conditions and cold weather, traffic light fuses have shorted in various areas. This means many busy city roads are without traffic signals.
Liverpool city council has said that engineers are currently on site trying to fix the situation. They have also apologised for any inconvenience caused.

The roads affected , include Scotland Road/Stanley Road , Queens Drive /Walton Hall Avenue, Leeds Street/Vauxhall Road, East Lancashire Road/Stopgate Lane, East Lancashire Road/Lowerhouse Lane, Smithdown Road/Grant Avenue and Speke Boulevard/Speke Hall Avenue.
Earlier in the week, police were forced to close roads after bad weather conditions caused crashes. The cold weather has had an impact on the roads and National Highways has urged drivers to be particularly careful.
