Warning as teen girl gang using sneaky break-in method as part of Dublin attacks on people's homes

Residents have been warned to keep an eye out for a gang of girls who are using a sneaky new method as part of attacks on people's homes in north and west Dublin.

There has been various different local complaints about the group, consisting of three young teen girls, who are said to be monitoring houses as possible break-in targets.

It is understood that the trio are hanging around areas in Clonsilla, Blanchardstown and Coolmine but are telling locals in the area that they're from Meath.

The teens all have Irish accents and brown hair and have been caught looking in windows in these areas during different times of the day.

Residents have said that when they quizzed the girls, they told them that they wanted to use the bathroom in the house as their reasons for looking inside before running away from the property.

The sick group are said to be targeting old people especially with the trick.

A warning alert was sent around to locals which gave a description of the gang.

It said: "If anyone else in the area sees anything like this, please let your local Gardai know.

"Gardai have already been informed but please be vigilant as they seem to be targeting older people."
