Customers who are trying to check their energy bills this morning have run into trouble as energy supplier Shell's website is experiencing "technical issues".
Anyone trying to log into their Shell Energy account on the official website or app will be unable to sign in as both outlets have appeared to crash.
A statement on its website read: "We are aware some of our customers are experiencing issues logging into their account, or unable to submit meter reads. We are working hard to resolve it. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
The official Twitter account for the energy provider has already received a number of complaints. Company representatives have been responding promptly to enquires on the social media site.
Back in March, several energy suppliers websites crashed as Brits scrambled to submit their final meter readings at once before the April energy price cap came into effect.
This recent incident may be a result of households seeking to check their first bill since the October price cap increase was enforced earlier this month.
While this bill will only account for the month of September, news of rising energy costs this winter has caused concern as the country endures a staggering cost-of-living crisis. Other services available on Shell's website include predicted energy usage, direct debit payments and meter reading submissions.
