Police have issued a warning after fraudsters got into an elderly man's home by posing as repair workers.
Offices said the scammers targeted an 82-year-old resident in the west Gorton area. They turned up to his home on June 28 and pretended to be representatives from a housing repair company.
The suspects were able to gain the victim's trust and were let inside the house. They then stole items which contained confidential information, police added.

Officers posted about the fraudsters on social media and asked anyone who has had any similar visits to their home to come forward. They are also looking for CCTV images of the suspects.
A Facebook post by GMP said: "Residents of WEST GORTON have reported suspected bogus officials posing as representatives of a housing repair company. On 28/06/2022 two offenders have managed to gain the trust of an elderly 82 year old male and enter his home, taking items containing confidential information.
"Police are appealing for any West Gorton residents who have had similar visits to their address and possibly CCTV/visual images of the two suspects."
