Warning after woman knocks on doors asking for 'Liam and Karen' while black van lurks

A homeowner has warned others to be aware after a suspicious incident involving a woman knocking on her door and asking for 'Karen' and 'Liam'.

The strange incident occurred last night (Monday) in the Johns estate off Elizabeth Road, near Huyton.

The incident raised suspicions after the resident spoke to neighbours who had a similar experience - before noticing a black van waiting nearby.

The resident said: "About half an hour ago I had some women knock on my door asking for a Liam and a light.

"We said no one lives here with the name Liam. Turns out she knocked at someone else’s asking for a Karen then knocked on someone else’s house.

"There was also a black van parked a few houses down they drove off, then five minutes later a lad was walking down the street looking at everyone’s houses.

"Everyone just be aware this was on the Johns estate just off Elizabeth Road."

The incident raised suspicions that the woman was scoping out homes for burglaries.
