Police have launched an investigation after two men were spotted taking pictures of a 'young girl' before following her in Horfield Common.
Officers are stepping up patrols in the area and people have been urged to report suspicious behaviour.
Police were called 7:35pm to the incident at around on Wednesday (September 9).
A concerned resident wrote on Facebook: "Be aware! Just got back from a dog walk on Horfield common and two guys in their 20s were acting really weird, and I saw them taking photos of a young girl (young teen) walking her dog alone.
"They started to follow the girl but saw me looking. I ran over to the girl to tell her and offered to walk her home, the guys then walked off down the lane and in to Ash Road."
The men are described as white and in their 20s. One was heavy set, with a buzz cut, wearing a tracksuit, while the other was slim, wearing jeans, a zip-up top and a pink/purple cap.
A force spokesperson said: "We received a call from a member of the public (Wednesday, September 9) reporting two men behaving suspiciously in Horfield Park at about 6.50pm.”
"The report was made around 7.35pm when the incident was no longer in progress, so it did not require police attendance.
"The local neighbourhood policing team have been made aware and are carrying out proactive patrols in the area.
"If you saw anything, call us on 101 quoting log 949 – 9th September.
"We'd encourage members of the public to report any incidences of suspicious/ anti-social behaviour to us on 101."
