A young girl was reportedly chased by two men as she walked to school in Bolton.
Police say they are investigating the incident, which happened near to Eatlock Way in Westhoughton on Thursday morning.
It's understood the Year 6 St James Daisy Hill CE Primary School pupil had been walking alone down a ginnel when she noticed she was being followed by two men and a dog.
Unnerved, the girl began to walk faster, but the two men quickened their pace.
The youngster then started to run and the men ran after her, a letter is understood to have read.
Thankfully, she ran to the safety of some passers-by and the men stopped running and walked off.

According to the school, both men were white.
One was wearing a yellow check shirt, long trousers and sunglasss. The other had on a black tracksuit with the hood up.
The dog was described as large, muscly and brown and was on a lead.

As well as contacting parents direct, the school also posted a warning on its Facebook page urging people to be aware.
It read: "We have received a report of a pupil being followed to school in the vicinity of Eatock Way this morning.
"We have reminded the children to be vigilant of strangers and their own safety at all times and the incident has been reported to the police.
"The description is as follows: 2 white males, one wearing a yellow check shirt, long trousers and sunglasses and the other wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
"They had a dog on a lead, described as large, muscly and brownish in colour.
"We have also sent this notice on Parentapp."
A spokesman for GMP said: "We were called at 11.43am to reports that a vulnerable person had been followed down a ginnel off Eatlock Way in Westhoughton.
"The incident is being treated as suspicious.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
