Warner Bros hints at Harry Potter sequels teasing 'potential'

So this is news sure to generate a fair bit of excitement.

It seems we may not have seen the last of Harry Potter, and a sequel really could be in the works if recent Warner Bros comments are anything to go by.

According to The Holywood Reporter WarnerMedia chief Jason Kilar has suggested the franchise could be continued on channel HBO Max during a meeting with investors on Thursday.

This comes after it was rumoured a live-action TV series could be in the works. There's also been some suggestion they could develop a movie based on the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage show.

Kilar told the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecommunications Conference this week: "There's this little thing called Harry Potter, which is one of the most beloved franchises.

"And we're incredibly thankful to be able to partner with J.K. Rowling and so I would argue there's a lot of fun and potential there as well."

I guess we'll have to wait to see exactly what that potential might be, but this is news sure to excite Harry Potter fans.

It's now been a decade since the final movie – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 – was released, and 20-years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone first appeared on our screens.
