The Australian War Memorial redevelopment is moving ahead with three redevelopment packages ticked off by National Capital Authority.
All approvals have now been given for the new Anzac Hall, CEW Bean Building extension and the new southern entrance of the facility, which are the final stages of the $500 million redevelopment.
"This is a very significant milestone, with the project now securing all necessary approvals to proceed," AWM director Matt Anderson said.
"For modern veterans this is also a significant milestone as they are now one step closer to having their stories told in the new galleries."
It follows NCA community consultation, where it found 73 per cent of respondents supported the proposed works.
In regional towns, support rose to 86 per cent, while it fell to 63 per cent in capital cities.
Majority support was found in each state, although just 41 per cent of ACT respondents indicated support.
The NCA found the proposal, which will bring expanded exhibition spaces, bigger research areas and improved all-abilities access, was consistent with the National Capital Plan.
"The NCA concluded that the proposed works have been designed in a manner to strengthen the geometry of the Griffins' Plan, with the alterations strengthening built elements of the site and the Land Axis," a statement read.
