Wanted woman, 32, who was on the run caught and jailed

A wanted Oldham thief has been caught and sentenced to 14 weeks in prison.

Becky May Holmes, 32 was found and arrested by neighbourhood police in Oldham on Friday (December 10).

She was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of vehicle interference and theft from motor vehicle.

She was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison today (December 13) at the Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court after being remanded in police custody.

GMP Oldham said: “Wanted female Becky May Holmes, aged 32 years was located and arrested on Friday by local neighbourhood officers.

“She was later charged with 2 counts of Vehicle Interference, theft from motor vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon.

“She was remanded in police custody to attend Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today where she was convicted of all offences.

“She was given a 14 week prison sentence meaning she will now be spending her Christmas behind bars.

“This is an early Christmas present for the residents of Oldham especially Chadderton and Werneth."
