A wanted Victorian man is behind bars after being charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Geelong last week.
Joshua Hocking, 35, and his partner Kayla Collins, 34, were arrested by homicide detectives in Shepherdson Avenue in Corio on Monday morning following a public appeal.
Hocking did not appear in Geelong Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon, when his case on one count of murder was called.
Victoria Police had been searching for Hocking since Wednesday when Geoffrey McDonald, 47, was stabbed at a Whittington property and later died in hospital.
The two men were believed to be known to each other, police said.
It is believed Hocking left the property in a purple Ford sedan, which has since been found.
While Hocking remains in custody, Collins was released without charge and the homicide investigation is still ongoing.
Hocking will next face court in November.
