A man with a live bench warrant was arrested by Gardai after he was caught in a car that was acting suspiciously in north Dublin.
Members of the K District Community Action Team (K-Cats) were carrying out anti-burglary patrols in Castleknock village when they came across the vehicle in question - a Volkswagen Golf.
They observed the Golf for a period of time before questioning the occupants of the car.
The driver and their passengers were unable to give a reason for being in the area and after carrying out background checks, they discovered that one of the men had a live bench warrant.
Gardai confirmed that he was arrested and is being kept in custody with a court appearance to be confirmed.
