Wanted man caught by Scots police after car had 'almost the entire exhaust missing'

A wanted man has been charged with a catalogue of offences including drug driving after being stopped by police in a Scots town.

Road Policing Scotland reported that the 21-year-old in Haddington, East Lothian, had no licence, no insurance, and no MOT.

The Smart Car allegedly had four bald tyres, an insecure battery and "almost the entire exhaust missing".

The police shared an image of a drug test on Twitter, which showed a positive result for cannabis. (Police Scotland)

The driver also provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis, and was wanted on two warrants, police said in a post on social media.

The man is due in court at a later date. A police spokesperson said: "Officers stopped the male driver on Victoria Park, Haddington around 5.40pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023. He was aged 21. He will attend court at a later date."
