Want to star in the stage show of Frozen? There are open auditions happening in Manchester

Fancy swapping the comforts of the North for the glitz and glamour of the West End stage?

Then you should brush up on the lyrics to Let it Go as a role in the Disney classic Frozen is up for grabs.

Frozen the West End Musical is set to make its debut at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in autumn 2020 after wowing audiences in New York on Broadway.

And show bosses have issued a casting call looking for aspiring actors and singers across the UK - including here in Manchester city centre .

The production team is looking to find individuals to fill the major roles of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, Hans and Weselton with the local round of auditions taking place on Monday, June 3, between 9am and 2pm at Studio 25 in Church Street.

Drag Queen Story Time comes to Manchester, encouraging children to 'embrace difference'

Prospective auditionees are required to bring along 16 bars of sheet music from a contemporary musical theatre song as well as a CV including photo.

When you arrive, you will be given a number and when called you will be asked to go into the audition room to sing the song you have prepared.

The six roles include lovable snowman Olaf (Publicity Picture)

Those successful in the first round will be contact by June 29 with further details.

If you can't make it to the Manchester round, further auditions are being held in Glasgow (May 24), London (May 6 & 7), Birmingham (June 10), Cardiff (June 13) and Dublin (June 14).

Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, the show originally debuted on Broadway in March 2018 and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical.

The musical is set to follow a similar storyline to the film, with extra songs written for the stage by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

The smash-hit 2013 film grossed £1.25bn during its cinematic run and created a frenzy amongst kids and adults alike.

But before the big show reaches the stage, a second film is ready for release on November 22 and Disney released the first glimpse at the eagerly-anticipated sequal earlier this year.
