TAMPA, Fla. — The Bucs’ seven-time Super Bowl champion is set to give a fan the chance to try on one of his rings — and a few of his spirals — for size.
Omaze, a global online fundraising platform benefiting nonprofits, announced Thursday that 43-year-old Tom Brady will spend an afternoon playing catch — and having lunch — with one lucky fan. The winner will be flown in and put up in a four-star hotel.
“We’ll throw the ball around, I’ll probably yell at you if you drop some, and then we can grab some lunch,” Brady said in a YouTube clip hyping the promotion. “But don’t worry, I’ll bring a few rings for you to try on as well. Maybe we can actually FaceTime Gronk (tight end Rob Gronkowski) around noon to wake him up.”
The chance to win requires a nominal donation that supports Best Buddies, dedicated to “ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” according to a news release.
The promotion runs through June 15.
