
Police have launched a murder probe following the fatal stabbing of a young man in south-west London.
Scotland Yard said officers were called to Deeside Road, Wandsworth, at 4.42pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.
Police and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, believed to be aged in his late teens, in a critical condition.
Paramedics battled to save him, but he died at the scene a short time later.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said formal identification has yet to take place and the force is working notify the youth's next of kin.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
No arrests have been made, the statement added.
A large cordon remains in place at the scene.
The incident took place just minutes before a fatal shooting in Plumstead.
