WandaVision's Elizabeth Olsen and Bridgerton win big at this year's MTV Movie and TV awards

Elizabeth Olsen had several wins at this year's MTV Movie and TV Awards. (MTV)

Do you think Bridgerton or The Bachelorette deserve more recognition than they get? Then skip the stuffy Oscars — today's MTV awards are for you.

This year they've also launched a second show to dish up honours for reality programs (think RuPaul's Drag Race and the Real Housewives of New Jersey).

But that's tomorrow — today's main event saw WandaVision and Bridgerton as some of the big winners. Here's who showed up on the red carpet.

Elizabeth Olsen

Olsen's role in WandaVision (streaming on Disney+) beat out Emma Corrin's turn as Princess Diana in The Crown to win best performance (and best fight with Kathryn Hahn). She took to the red carpet in this sparkly black mini-dress.

Kathryn Hahn

Another WandaVision star who picked up a few awards (best villain and best fight alongside Elizabeth Olson), Hahn also rocked the jumpsuit trend with this sleek black number.

Madison Bailey

The show Outer Banks (ICYMI, it's a teen drama on Netflix) might have only been up for one award, but the cast turned out and glammed up — none more so than actor Madison Bailey in this mullet-inspired dress.

Jurnee Smollett

Up for most frightened performance for her role in HBO's Lovecraft Country (beaten by Victoria Pedretti in The Haunting), she took this not-so-frightening aqua jumpsuit out for a spin on the red carpet.

Chase Stokes

His smooch on Netflix's Outer Banks (with Madelyn Cline) was so hot they took home the win for best kiss. So why not wear red?

Sierra Capri

The actor from On My Block, which streams on Netflix, took a twist on the suit to the red carpet.

And yes, he might not have been there in person, but Regé-Jean Page won best breakthrough performance for the role that set hearts aflutter in Bridgerton

There was also another posthumous nod for Chadwick Boseman and his role in Netflix's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
