Five men have been arrested in connection with the murder of teenager Bubacar Jabbie Dukureh, who was stabbed to death north east London last year.

The group, aged 15 to 18, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday morning following warrants in east London.

They remain in custody at a nearby police station.

Mr Dukureh, 17, known as Bubacar Jabbie, was attacked in Walthamstow on October 23, 2020.

Police were called to Westbury Road at around 9.20pm where he was found suffering from knife wounds.

Despite the best efforts from paramedics, Mr Dukureh was pronounced dead at the scene just before 10pm.

Detective Inspector Joanna Yorke, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “This was a senseless and violent attack on a teenager on the streets of London.

“Our team has been working hard to establish the full circumstances around the incident and this is a significant update in the investigation.”
