Dozens of people were evacuated from their homes as 100 firefighters tackled a major fire at a block of flats in Walthamstow.
Part of two flats on the fifth and sixth floor of the flats in Collendale Road were alight as well as the roof.
Footage of the fire showed huge plumes of black smoke coming from the building.
Flames could also be seen from street level as the fire burnt through the top of the block of flats as the fire brigade arrived at the scene.

One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders is being used at the scene to help fight the fire from above.
The drone team are also on scene.

A woman and a baby were treated on scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, while around 36 people were evacuated from the building as a result of the fire.
The London Fire Brigade used two 32-metre turntable ladder as water towers to help fight the fire from above.
The Brigade’s drone team were also in attendance to help provide awareness of where the fire had spread to.

Control Officers took the first of 51 calls at 1.35pm and mobilised crews from Walthamstow, Tottenham, Hornsey and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
The fire was under control by 4.26pm, the London Fire Brigade said.
Firefighters are expected to remain at the scene into the evening and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Blackhorse Lane was closed due to the fire between Hookers Road and Blackhorse Road Station. Bus routes have been diverted, according to travel data site Inrix.
Waltham Forest Council added: “Due to a fire on Collendale Road, Walthamstow E17, several roads including the junction of Forest Road and Blackhorse Road are currently closed to traffic while emergency services work to resolve the situation. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes wherever possible.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.44pm today (15 May) to reports of a fire on Collendale Road, Walthamstow.
“We sent resources to the scene, including a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and members of our hazardous area response team.
“We treated a child before discharging them at the scene.”
