Waltham Forest stabbing: Murder inquiry launched after 14-year-old found dead in north-east London

Detectives in London are hunting for three men believed to have stabbed and killed a 14-year-old boy in Waltham Forest.

Police officers were called to Bickley Road to reports of a traffic accident but found the injured schoolboy at the scene.

Paramedics were unable to save the teenager, who was declared dead at 7.09pm on Tuesday.

Investigators confirmed that the boy had been riding a moped which collided with a car.

Three men then climbed out of the vehicle and stabbed the victim, before driving away.

The schoolboy’s family has been told of his death.

A police crime scene has been set up at the site of the incident in north-east London.

“There has been no arrest,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.

"Enquiries continue.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact police officers via 101. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
