Walt Frazier on LeBron James: ‘I think he should be more part of the team’

The Los Angeles Lakers got off to a slow start with in their bright and early matchup against the New York Knicks Sunday morning, falling behind 41-30 after the first quarter.

But perhaps the most notable part of the game didn’t happen between the lines, which is par for the Lakers this season and for the past five. New York Knicks legend and MSG commentator Walt Frazier, who has seen his fair share of dysfunction with the Real Lakers of New York, called out James for his body language.

Frazier went on to say that as the face of the NBA, James should do more to at least make it look like he’s invested in the success of his teammates as he noted LeBron was on the last seat of the bench during a stoppage in play.

“This type of behavior, when you’re the face of the NBA, you should be more a part of your team,” Frazier said. “No matter what is going on. In public, you’ve got to be part of the team. In the locker room you’re not, but you have to exude that type of togetherness in public. And right now we see he doesn’t really care.”
