A street is on lockdown amidst reports that a man threated to "blow up his home".
A school was evacuated as armed police rushed to Darlington Street in Wallasey, Merseyside this afternoon following concerns about the man's behaviour.
A neighbour, who asked not to be named, said there were four or five police vehicles at the scene including armed police, Liverpool Echo reported.
Gas engineers have also reportedly arrived at the street.

Egremont primary school confirmed that it had evacuated its pupils and staff.
A statement sent to parents read: "There is an incident in the area opposite school and we have been advised by police to evacuate the building.
"We will be making our way to the Town Hall.
"Please keep an eye on your phone and we will keep you updated in the next hour."
Emergency workers including fire fighters have now been on the scene since just after noon.
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "I can confirm we have one fire engine in attendance at Darlington Close In Wallasey.
"We were alerted at 12pm and on scene at 12.08pm. Crews are assisting the police with an ongoing incident."
