Wallaroos lock in Anzac clash as part of 10-Test year

Australia's women's rugby side will play New Zealand on Anzac Day in a historic first as part of a 10-Test calendar year for the Wallaroos.

The April 25 clash, to be held at Sunshine Coast Stadium, was confirmed on Thursday.

It comes after hopes of a men's Bledisloe Cup fixture between the countries on the same date were extinguished a year ago, when New Zealand rugby deemed the one-off nature of a Test during the Super Rugby Pacific season unviable.

Australia's women, ahead of a home World Cup in 2029, will also tour the United States for the first time and play across Europe in the new WXV Global Series this year.

New Zealand will host the O'Reilly Cup return leg in Auckland in August, while Australia's Test season begins in Canberra against Fijiana on March 27.

The Black Ferns have won all 29 trans-Tasman Tests, with Australia's recent investment in its rugby program designed to bridge the gap before it hosts the World Cup.
