Wall Street follows global markets lower on new Greece worries

Global markets have not taken kindly to comments from Greek politician Alexis Tsipras - handed the mandate to form the country's next government - insisting it should not abide by the terms of its recent bailout.

Wall Street is sharply lower in early trading, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down around 100 points and now below 13,000 at 12,911.

The FTSE 100 has also seen its falls accelerate, with the leading index now 46.13 points lower at 5608.93. In Europe Germany's Dax is down 1.12%, France's Cac is off 1.9% and in Athens, the market has dropped around 4%.
