Wall destroyed following following crash in Ferguslie

A gaping hole has been left in a wall in Ferguslie following a crash.

A section of the footpath in Station Road near to the roundabout has been closed following the incident, which is understood to have taken place in the early hours of this morning.

Rubble from the stone wall could be seen strewn across the pavement and cones and tape have sealed off access.

A resident who lives nearby told the Express it looked like a car had driven over the roundabout.

They said: "It looked like a doozy. From what you can see it looks like they have gone right over the roundabout and straight into the wall.

"It's totally destroyed so they must have hit it head on. Hopefully no one was injured."
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
