The Walkinstown shop where pop sensation Ariana Grande picked up hundreds of euro worth of wool has seen a huge boost to business since her visit.
Springwools located in the Olde Sawmills on Ballymount Road Lower had a surprise visit from the '7 Rings' singer back in September while she was playing gigs in the 3Arena.
During her visit, she stocked up on hundreds of euro worth of aran yarns and luxury Irish knitting wool.
Footage released at the time showed the 26-year-old greeting Kevin Spring with a big wave with him later admitting to Dublin Live that he didn't know who she was.
After telling the story to his staff the next day, they immediately said it could've been the famous pop star - so they checked the CCTV and it was.
Now the shop has seen an increase of younger shoppers, and a boost to their sales.
Springwools owner Patsy Spring said: "Hearing about Ariana Grande shopping for wool has inspired younger people to give it a go themselves, which is great to see.
“I’ve been knitting since a young age myself. It’s such a relaxing thing to do, and a great creative outlet. New knitters visiting the shop are amazed by the sheer range of gorgeous yarns and designs available.
"If you don’t knit, you don’t know that knitting has undergone a transformation in recent years. Modern knitting attracts style-conscious people who want something more special than mass-produced fast fashion, and who enjoy the mindful activity of creating it themselves.
"It’s great to see more and more people getting into it. Sure even Ariana Grande is knitting, and she’s buying the best Irish yarns too!”
Earlier in the same week, the music starlet was also spotted buying a pinata in a Crumlin hardware store.
She popped into Feighery’s Expert Hardware Store to buy the unusual item, with Manager Alan Feighery saying his daughters were disappointed they missed out on the chance to meet her.
