Walkers crisps teases return of iconic discontinued snack this month

Walkers has teased the return of an iconic discontinued crisp later in February, and fans have been quick to share their enthusiasm.

The crisp company took to Facebook to share an enigmatic teaser video, and keen-eyed shoppers believe it may be about to relaunch prawn cocktail-flavoured Wotsits.

There have been numerous calls for the crisp giant to reinstate the snack, which was discontinued over ten years ago.

Walkers previously brought back prawn cocktail Quavers at the start of 2021, but Wotsit fans were left disappointed when their favourite didn't follow.

There have even been petitions launched in an effort to bring back the classic crisp.

In the video, the date "18/02/22" appears, meaning the new product will likely be launched later this month.

Alongside the short video, Walkers posted a prawn emoji and an eye emoji and wrote "#WotsThis".

Since being published on Friday, the post has attracted hundreds of likes and comments from excited fans.

One wrote: "I can’t wait if it’s prawn cocktail Wotsits".

"Prawn cocktail Wotsits please tell me they're back for good," a second hopeful fan shared.

"Please be true," a third simply said.

Another excited Facebook user commented: "Omg! My favourite crisp ever."

"I have waited years for this," a fifth posted.

"Please please be prawn cocktail flavour Wotsits," a sixth said.

A seventh stated: "My life is now complete".

However, not all Wotsits fans were excited by the prospect of the iconic flavour.

"Bleh, worst taste ever," one wrote.

Meanwhile, a second posted a collection of sick and vomiting emojis to express their dissatisfaction.
