Walkers teases return of fan-favourite crisps in February after over 10 years

Walkers has teased the long-awaited return of one of its iconic crisps, and fans have shared their thoughts.

The crisp giant posted an unusual teaser video on Facebook, and many fans believe it may be relaunching the long-discontinued prawn cocktail-flavoured Wotsits.

Throughout the years, there have been numerous calls from the public to bring back the snack after it was withdrawn more than a decade ago.

The company already reintroduced prawn cocktail Quavers last year, but Wotsits fans have continued to demand the iconic flavour make a comeback.

There have even been petitions launched in an effort to bring back the classic crisp.

In the video posted to the social media network, the date "18/02/22" features prominently, indicating that shoppers won't have to wait too much longer to find out what is coming.

Alongside the clip, Walkers posted prawn and eye emojis, and wrote "#WotsThis".

After being uploaded, the post gained hundreds of likes and comments from consumers.

"Prawn cocktail Wotsits please tell me they're back for good," one fan wrote.

A second shared: "I can’t wait if it’s prawn cocktail Wotsits".

"Please be true," a third simply said.

Another excited Facebook user commented: "Omg! My favourite crisp ever."

"I have waited years for this," a fifth posted.

"Please please be prawn cocktail flavour Wotsits," a sixth said.

A seventh stated: "My life is now complete".

However, some Facebook users were not so hyped by the teaser.

"Bleh, worst taste ever," one wrote.

Meanwhile, a second posted a collection of sick and vomiting emojis to express their dissatisfaction.
