Walkers Crisps' fans love cheeky response to Ladbaby's £100k 'winning' find

Social media stars LadBaby and LadBaby mum have been left 'heartbroken' after the pair's hopes of winning £100,000 were dashed. The social media personalities had dropped off at a Moto service station and, after picking up a snack, thought they were in the money only to have their hopes dashed by the brand's cheeky response to their message.

They'd picked up a packet of ready salted Walkers Crisps, with the famous Leicester-based snack brand is currently running a 'win £250 every hour' promotion. While snackers can enter their details and Pack Code number to be in with a chance of scooping the cash, the packets also feature a heart-shaped crisp on the iconic packaging with the words "found a heart-shaped crisp? Win £100k.

Discovering a vaguely heart-shaped crisp in his purchase, LadBaby, real name Mark Hoyle, took to Instagram to query the find. He wrote: "When you find a heart shaped crisp at a service station. Come on @walkers_crisps I need to know!!! Have I won?", adding the hashtags #LoveFromWalkers #winner #heart.

The Christmas number one record holder posted the message alongside three snaps. One of him holding the find and the packet, another of wife Roxanne, aka LadBaby Mum, holding the 'winning' item, and a third, a close-up of the crisp in question.

Walkers were quick to respond to the query. "Change your name to CrispBaby and we'll talk", they wrote, posting a laughing face emoji alongside the comment.

Fans loved the cheeky response. "@walkers_crisps genius", wrote one person. Another said: "...with new edition steak pie flavour", which got crisp fans reminiscing: "I miss the sausage roll flavoured crisps. Bring them back!!!," said one fan.

But another person pointed out, "I hate to say but more round than heart-shaped." Another agreed: "Looks more like an apple".

Another social media user explained: "If you read the competition there isn't a specific heart-shaped crisp to find. If you happen to find a heart-shaped crisp you take a picture and upload it to the website at the end of the comp the best-looking heart crisp from all who enters, wins... as far as I can see. Good luck and keep it safe."
