- An investigation has been launched in Washington state after a man discovered a severed human toe inside a gift-wrapped box on a beach.
- Kevin Ewing from Tacoma found the box while walking along the shore in Dash Point National Park on Father's Day.
- The small, square box was wrapped in green cloth with yellow string, and inside, the toe was wrapped in white cloth alongside a feather, grass, sage, and tobacco.
- Ewing described the discovery as “creepy” and like something from a “horror movie”, prompting him to question the toe's origin and the rest of the body.
- Washington State Patrol is leading the investigation, stating the toe appears to be from an adult male, and has contacted local law enforcement for potential matches.
