Bones found by members of the public on a secluded beach have been found to be the remains of an animal.
The emergency services were called out to Oglet Shore in south Liverpool at around 7. 30pm on Saturday after members of the public raised the alarm.
The bones have now been forensically tested by police and found to the remains of an animal.

Oglet Shore is an agricultural coastal area between Speke and Hale village that is popular with walkers.
A police spokesperson said to the ECHO: "We can confirm bones found in Speke yesterday (Saturday 4 September) are that of an animal.
"Members of the public discovered the bones when walking on Oglet Shore at around 7.30pm.
"The bones were forensically examined and it has been determined they are animal bones."
