Walk The Line began on tonight, leaving viewers split about the new music competition.
Some fans were delighted with a new nightly show, while others dubbed Simon Cowell 's new TV creation a "Poundland X Factor."
Hosted by Maya Jama, the ITV show sees bands and solo acts perform in front of a star-studded panel of judges, hoping to walk away with a grand prize of £500,000.
Former X Factor star Gary Barlow, Craig David, Alesha Dixon and Dawn French made up the judging team, offering their expert opinions to the hopeful singers.
One thing that did unite all Walk The Line viewers on Sunday night is their love of comedian Dawn and her new look.

"I’m saying this now & I’m saying it with total confidence. I think @Dawn_French may have single-handedly saved the talent show format," one fan gushed on Twitter.
Another added: "The best thing about #WalkTheLine is Dawn French’s hair! I love it!"
"Dawn French is the only reason I’m watching. She’s carrying this one season wonder #WalkTheLine," a third mused.
The brand new format sees the top two performers each evening face a decision whether to walk away from the competition with £10,000, or 'Walk The Line' and compete again on the next show.

Following the official axe of The X Factor earlier this year, some TV viewers were "delighted" to see a similar show back on our screens once again - with one tweeting "I already love #WalkTheLine."
But many were critical and not very impressed following Sunday's first episode.
"A Poundland version of the X Factor...#WalkTheLine," one disgruntled viewer mused on Twitter.
Another agreed, similarly tweeting: "I didn’t know Poundland did versions of the X Factor #WalkTheLine."

"If you hate music and want a show where the format makes no sense and the judges don’t do anything, then #WalkTheLine is probably what you’re looking for," one scathing critic wrote - adding: "Still love you, Dawn and Alesha x"
Some viewers credited presenter Maya with keeping them interested in the new show.
"Walk the Line….anyone interested in this X-Factor rehash? No. Anyone interested in Maya Jama? Hell yes! What a f***ing goddess. 10/10. #WalkTheLine," one quipped after Sunday night's show.

"Maya Jama , Dawn French and Craig David are a breath of fresh air and give the show a unique feeling. #WalkTheLine," a second viewer added.
Walk The Line will air every weeknight until the grand finale on Friday.
The longer the hopeful acts remain in the contest, the bigger the prize pot.
Each night, the reigning champion will be tempted by an even higher cash-out prize, as they debate whether to walk away from the competition of 'Walk The Line'.
*Walk The Line airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV.
