The Inner North Walk-in Centre in Dickson has closed from Monday with staff redeployed to Covid testing sites across the ACT.

Dickson staff are expected to help ease the burden on nurses and volunteers at EPIC, Brindabella and the Weston Creek testing facilities, which have seen record turnouts for tests since the first case of coronavirus was reported on Thursday.

An additional testing facility had been proposed for Lyneham High School from this week after it was identified as an exposure site on Sunday night. A student from the high school has tested positive to coronavirus which will now bring the case count to 10.

A pop up testing clinic has already been set up at Gold Creek School since Saturday morning after a student tested positive at the school on Friday.

ACT Health will also open a pop-up testing site at Kambah from Tuesday, in conjunction with Capital Pathology, to take the load off the already stretched public testing facilities,

Maternal and Child Health services at Dickson will continue to operate as normal.

ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said there would be more cases of coronavirus announced at midday on Monday.
