CHENNAI: The postal department has proposed to engage direct agents for sale of postal life insurance and rural postal insurance products.
Candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview at Senior Superintendent of POs, Chennai Central Division at T Nagar on August16. Minimum educational qualification is Class X and age limit is between 18 and 50.
Unemployed, self-employed youth, ex-life advisors, ex-agents of any insurance company, ex-servicemen, anganwadi workers, mahila mandal workers, retired teachers and SHG functionaries can attend the interview. Candidates selected have to provide cash security of Rs 5,000 in the form of National Savings Certificate/Kisan Vikas Patra to be pledged to the President.
