Walk behind waterfalls at stunning beauty spot that's worth the drive from Liverpool

If you fancy trying somewhere new to walk the dog, or want to explore the great nature the North has to offer, this gorgeous beauty spot offers some of the most spectacular oak woodland, waterfalls and scenery in the UK.

Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is the perfect place for a unique day out, away from the city.

The all year around nature trail and attraction allows you to walk in a truly unspoilt wonderland, whatever the weather.

It boasts over four miles of trail through ancient oak woodland and magnificent Yorkshire Dales - best of all it’s under a two hour drive from Liverpool.

The trail first opened way back in 1885 and thousands of visitors began flocking to Ingleton.

In fact, the trail proved so popular that it made the history books in 1888, when over 3,500 people visited in one day alone.

The trail takes on average two hours and 30 minutes to complete and is open seven days a week, throughout the year.

The trail is now open again after lockdown restrictions were eased but is currently operating a one way system and people are advised to avoid peak times between 12pm and 3pm. Tickets are £7 or adults and £3 for children, with payment by card only. Parking is included in the ticket price.

It opens at 9am every day but closing times vary according to time of year. Over the summer the trail remains open until 7pm.
